The server's getting bigger, card creators are getting more numerous, and so are the fan-created cards that the server is producing. And often, these cards are getting lost and jumbled, and players are getting upset about the constant updates. So, to cope with this, we're setting up some new rules and regulations to keep up with demand, keep things fair and balanced, and keep the one-card updates to a minimum. So, with that, here are the new rules.

1. Cards must be posted on the forum and formally voted on.

2. If a member becomes inactive on the server for a period of over 3 months, or if a card/archetype is considered too powerful for the server, staff are allowed to delete the card/archetype without the creator's permission, provided it passes a group vote.

3. The banlist will be updated with each update by staff based on the community.

If the community us is consistently using a card or archetype and consistently winning, the card will be looked at and, if need be, hit. Cards can also come off, based on the community's feedback.

4. Quality control is going to become much stricter.

Cards must be balanced, or they're going to be rejected. We don't want a whole gamestate of just towers. This means that staff has final say in what cards get made or don't. If the cards become issues after they've already been implemented, they will be put onto the banlist.

Card art, if you choose to do it, should also be appropriate. No excess gore or violence or nudity. There is some room for argument, but, if Konami wouldn't print it now, it's probably not appropriate.

Also, please keep character cards to a minimum. It may be your favorite anime, but not everyone wants to see a Kirito card with a massive effect from the anime.

5. Please keep archetypes or support archetypes you create under 30 cards. There's no need to have a 70 card archtype when the archetype is only going to use six of those cards to play.

6. Please don't post your cards in unofficial updates. We have coders and testers who'll make sure everything works, and will be released in the official update. Updates will be about every two weeks, and will be available via the Downloads section of the forum, or Here.

7. Also, make sure your cards Must have a systematical Card ID (e.g 12000XXXX, 54000xxxx) and do not have random 8 or less digit numbers as there's a very high chance that Konami will take any random card Number(s). Cards with strings are the sole exception to the digit rules since YGOPRO's core does not support Strings in 9 Digit numbered cards, and it will display any text as "???", which is confusing and affects your deck badly.

8. And please Keep in mind that you are not allowed to vote to Your own thread to keep the submissions fair and square.

9. Finally, be respectful. We're all human, and we all like this game. A lot of these cards are personal, and insulting them is like insulting their owner.

Thank you, and with help, we can continue to grow the server into an even bigger, even better project.

Jake

So, there has been a lot of confusion stirring about our current card submission system. I'll be doing my best here to help illustrate our current card submission system, as of May 25th 2018.  ;D

Make your Custom Card Submission here!!
Specifically, you're going to go to this part of the forums; http://ygocc.998fun.com/index.php?board=2.0
Select "New Topic" and fill out the information that best suits your archetype!
You can also take advantage of premade forms to make a topic that way, here!

"What is required in my Custom Card Submission?"
Glad you asked cause no one else hardly cares! Your Custom Card Submission should be separated into 3 main categories, alongside the cards you're submitting themselves. A fourth category is optional (*).

Overall Idea or Concept of the Archetype
Known/Initial Strengths
Known/Initial Weaknesses
(*) Any further comments

The forum itself has commands for you to separate your cards into categories when submitting, like "Monsters", "Spells", and "Traps", but URLs like DeviantArt or imgur are also allowed too - whichever is more convenient!

You'll need Discord!
Discord serves as this community's main way to communicate. We also have a Skype chat, but it's really only used if Discord crashes... once a month or so :V Anyways, Discord is gonna be where all the magic happens!

"What.... Now?"
You may be asking yourself, "what now?" Well, in the words of TaxingCorn, "if you'll excuse me i'm going to go pray to the pachinko cart to get my archetype chosen next". Well, let me tell you!

Once you make your Custom Card Submission, the Balance Team and Quality Control (BT/QC) are notified. Whether or not they're available to review your archetype anytime soon is dependent purely on what they're currently working on in the community and during the free-time of their IRL activities. Please realize that every job within YGOCC is purely voluntarily, and that the powerful magic of every-changing time zones can only be beneficial to some extent.

Once a BT/QC Member decides to choose your archetype to review, you'll be notified via Discord. There and then, the BT/QC Member will grant you access to their very own private review room. Here - they... review... the cards. Once any and all necessary balance adjustments have been made, the BT/QCer cough should cough alert a Scripting Team Member. These are the people who code the reviewed cards into our YGOPro Client, KoishiPro. They do a lot more work than anyone else apart of the staff, so please love them with all your chi- I mean hearts.

After the Scripting Team member scripts the cards, the BT/QCer and the client begin playtesting publicly via the Moon Server! This gives involved parties the opportunity to get their hands dirty and balance some mooooore, since reviewing on paper iiiiisn't always the same as reviewing based on real experience. After a suitable time of playtesting and the BT/QCer and client are happy with where the archetype is and how it performs - and now you're done! You successfully have not only made your Custom Card Submission, but learned the process as a whole too! Congratulations!!!

More information on the Moon Server and such can be explained in other forum topics or Discord ~ bye! <33
