Archives / EDIT 3: [Scripted] Archetype Submission - Hadouken
« Last post by Lyris on November 30, 2023, 12:40:50 am »
Another, albeit minor, edit has been made to the Spatial mechanic-- specially, to Spatial Summoning: the materials' Stars (Levels/Ranks) can now also exactly equal the Summoned Spatial Monster's Level.  In exchange, however, "Psychic Hadouken" will be changed from Level 6 to Level 7.

1 "Great London" monster
During the Main Phase, when your opponent activates a card or effect by sending a card(s) from their hand to the GY (Quick Effect): You can declare 1 card type (Monster, Spell or Trap); reveal the top card of your Deck, and if you do, and its type matches the declared type, negate that card or effect, and if you do, it is placed face-up in your Spell/Trap Zone as a Continuous Spell. While it's face-up in your Spell/Trap Zone, it's name becomes "Great London Clue - Prisoner." During the Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can banish 1 "Great London Clue" card you control; activate 1 “Great London Clue” card directly from your Deck or GY. You can only use 1 "Great London Police Inspector Melvin" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

Archives / Changelog: [Scripted] Archetype Submission - Hadouken #2
« Last post by Lyris on October 28, 2023, 03:22:39 pm »
Fixed post formatting and overhauled the archetype, but nerfed many of them based on feedback from opponents; added a new card for them in exchange, also renamed from "Hadoken" to "Hadouken".
Spoiler: Old Effects • show
Brave Hadouken
If you have an even number of cards in your Deck (Quick Effect): You can place 1 other card from your hand on the top of your Deck; add the bottom card of your Deck to your hand, then Special Summon this card from your hand or GY, but you cannot Summon "Brave Hadoken" from your GY this way for the rest of this turn. Once per turn: You can excavate 3 cards from the bottom of your Deck, and if you do, add 1 excavated "Hadoken" card to your hand, except "Brave Hadoken", also place the rest on the top of your Deck in the same order.

Seeker Hadouken
If you have an even number of cards in your Deck (Quick Effect): You can place 1 other "Hadoken" card from your GY or that is banished on the bottom of the Deck; all your current "Hadoken" monsters gain 500 ATK/DEF, then Special Summon this card from your hand or GY, but place it on the bottom of the Deck if it leaves the field. Once per turn: You can excavate 3 cards from the bottom of your Deck, and if you do, Special Summon 1 excavated "Hadoken" monster, except "Seeker Hadoken", also place the rest on the top of your Deck in the same order.

Happy Hadouken
If you have an even number of cards in your Deck (Quick Effect): You can place 1 other card from your hand on the top of the Deck; Special Summon this card from your hand or GY (but place it on the bottom of the Deck if it leaves the field), then excavate 3 cards from the bottom of your Deck, add 1 excavated "Hadoken" card to your hand, except "Happy Hadoken", also, shuffle the other excavated cards into the Deck. Once per turn: You can excavate 3 cards from the bottom of your Deck, and if you do, draw cards equal to the number of excavated "Hadoken" cards, also place the excavated cards on the top of the Deck in the same order.

Sniper Hadouken
If you have an even number of cards in your Deck (Quick Effect): You can place 1 other "Hadoken" card from your hand on the bottom of your Deck, then target up to 2 cards your opponent controls or in their GY; place them on the bottom of the Deck, then Special Summon this card from your hand or GY, but place it on the bottom of the Deck if it leaves the field. Once per turn: You can excavate 3 cards from the bottom of your Deck, and if you do, you can destroy cards your opponent controls, up to the number of excavated "Hadoken" cards, also, place the excavated cards on top of the Deck in the same order.

Synth Hadouken
If you have an even number of cards in your Deck (Quick Effect): You can place this card from your hand, GY, or that is banished on the bottom of your Deck; immediately after this effect resolves, Spatial Summon 1 Spatial Monster, using only "Hadoken" monsters in your hand and/or Deck. Once per turn: You can excavate cards from the bottom of your Deck until you excavate a "Hadoken" card, add that card to your hand, also, place the other excavated cards on top of your Deck in the same order.

Undying Hadouken
2 LIGHT monsters
Once per turn: You can Special Summon 1 "Hadoken" monster from your Deck, then place 1 card from your hand or field on the bottom of your Deck, except "Undying Hadoken" or the Summoned monster. Once per turn: You can excavate 9 cards from the bottom of your Deck, and if you do, add 1 excavated "Hadoken" card to your hand, also place the rest on top of your Deck in the same order.
* Altered Space: Once per turn: You can Special Summon 1 "Hadoken" monster from your Deck, then place 1 card from your hand or field on the bottom of your Deck, except "Undying Hadoken" or the Summoned monster. Once per turn: You can excavate 6 cards from the bottom of your Deck, and if you do, Special Summon 1 excavated "Hadoken" monster, also place the rest on top of your Deck in the same order.

Psychic Hadouken
2+ monsters with different Types
Any card that would be banished is placed on the bottom of the Deck instead. Once per turn: You can place 1 "Hadoken" card from your GY or that is banished on the bottom of the Deck, then target 1 card your opponent controls; banish 1 card its owner controls.
ATK 2500/DEF 1000
* Altered Space: Any card sent to the GY is placed on the bottom of the Deck instead. Once per turn: You can place 1 "Hadoken" card from your GY or that is banished on the bottom of the Deck, then target 1 card your opponent controls; send 1 card its owner controls to the GY.

Hadouken Ark Box
Excavate 3 cards from the bottom of your Deck, and if you do, Special Summon 1 excavated "Hadoken" monster, also place the other excavated cards on top of your Deck in the same order, or in any order, if you excavated a "Hadoken" card, except "Hadoken Ark Box".

Hadouken Nurtration
When this card is activated: Look at 6 cards from the bottom of your Deck, and if you do, place them on the bottom of your Deck in any order. You can only activate 1 "Hadoken Nurtration" per turn. During the turn a "Hadoken" card(s) was excavated from your Deck, all your "Hadoken" monsters gain 100 ATK for each. Once per turn: You can excavate 3 cards from the bottom of your Deck, and if you do, you can send cards your opponent controls to the GY, up to the number of excavated "Hadoken" cards, also place the excavated cards on the top of the Deck in the same order.

Hadouken Sacred Relics
Excavate 3 cards from the bottom of your Deck, and if you do, Special Summon up to 2 excavated "Hadoken" monsters, also place the other excavated cards on top of your Deck in the same order. You can only activate 1 "Hadoken Sacred Relics" per turn.

Hadoukenstruction
Excavate 3 cards from the bottom of your Deck, and if you do, draw cards equal to the number of excavated "Hadoken" cards, also, place the excavated cards on the top of your Deck in any order. You can banish this card from your GY; place up to 3 "Hadoken" cards from your GY or that are banished on the bottom of your Deck in any order, except "Hadokenstruction".

Hadoukenihilism
When your opponent activates a card or effect while you have an even number of cards in your Deck: Negate the effect, and if you do, place both that card and 1 "Hadoken" card from your field or GY on the bottom of your Deck. You can banish this card from your GY; excavate 3 cards from the bottom of your Deck, and if you do, Set 1 excavated "Hadoken" card to your field, also, place the other excavated cards on top of your Deck in the same order.
Previous Disadvantage:
  • Easy to disrupt
    • For example, 1 negate like Ulala (Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring) and/or on-search trigger has the potential to halt their combo potential altogether, considering the Main Deck monsters' Quick Effects change the Deck parity for cost.

Submit Cards / Worldblade makes an appearance !
« Last post by Delta on October 21, 2023, 11:18:29 pm »
It all started by a challenge, the conditions where

No adding from Deck to hand by any means
No using/requiring the GY for anything
No using/requiring the Banish Zone for anything
No Floodgates
Has to not die to Dimensional Barrier
You can use any card type you want

so, here is my answer to that ! https://www.duelingbook.com/deck?id=14084018

Worldblade is a union deck. Being union, they can get ca without forcibly adding screw to the hand, dont take screw from shifter or lancea, and dont need floodgates to work. Plus, their turn one is pretty solid, as well as consistant, even though i did not make any one card combo, cause i find this stupid. Their playstyle is a lot similar to orcust when you think about it, they are ressource heavy focused, even if they can be pretty obnoxious with their effect, even in turn 2. I wouldnt say they are prime kashtira or prime tear level, but they are a solide purrely level.

By unpopular demand: The British Upper Class has been resurrected as a one-of generic Time Leap (Its an old card that found Xarc interesting and willingly scripted it)

Quote
Your opponent has a card in their GY - Zombie or Machine monster
You can also Time Leap Summon this card using a Level 3 Zombie monster, or a Level 5 Machine monster, as material. If this card is Time Leap Summoned while there are 3 or less monsters in your GY: You can send the top 3 cards of your Deck to the GY. Once per turn, at the start of the Battle Phase: You can target 1 banished Zombie or Machine monster; return it to the GY, and if you do, you can apply 1 of the following effects based on it's type.
●Zombie: Choose 1 monster your opponent controls, and until the end of the next turn, you gain control of it, also, it becomes a Zombie monster.
●Machine: Draw 1 card.

Submit Cards / Here enters the raging calamitie ! (unscripted)
« Last post by Delta on October 18, 2023, 12:23:54 am »
Boys and girls, and anything in between or beyond, today i introduce you one of my favorite thing in the world ! Monsters. A lot of them.

That's right, straight out stolen from capcom's ip, here come the Raging Calamities ! ( https://www.duelingbook.com/deck?id=13841892 )

So, what do they do ? And why do i have a fixation with pendulum cards ? Who knows, but i can answer the first question !

The calamities of the main deck all have the same scale effect, think of it like the effects of metalfoes monster, but if instead of setting s/t, it leveled up a monster on field. To do so, you need to destroy a scale and a raging calamity monster you control, and if you do so, you summon another one with 2 level higher or lower. Simple right ? I like to keep things simple. Therefore, all of them has only one monster effect ! Except the extra deck monster, but gently caress em we arent there yet. They range from level 1 to level 11, as do there scales, although the two level 11 cannot be pendulum summoned with for obvious reason.

But as i'm not joey wheeler nor do i intend on opening a dojo, i gave them spells and traps ! Again, i'm a simple man, so i gave them one continuous spell that activate one of them from the deck directly into the pendulum scale, and a trap that activate two scale when it's itself activated ! although that last one has some recursion taped to it, because why not. they also have a trap that allow them to level up during the opponent turn.

Now, before we start on the extra, there is one more card to be aware of. The field spell who have a simple yeet devastating effect. Using the same requirement for a level up, the field spell can instead special summon calamities from the extra deck ! be it face up or not, and ignoring completely their summoning condition (that's how you cheat out golden robe) ! Once per turn ? Naaaaah. It's not thaaat strong. i think. Maybe ? let's see what this bad boy can bring out !

i'll keep my favorite one for the last, so lets talk fusion ! Divine Scale is a nice little fella that has only one purpose in life, making sure you dont enjoy yours. You're right, that bad boys burn, a lot. Only if you summon something tho, cause i'm not that cruel ... but if your lp are low, the whole board go boom. Cause gently caress you man, why are you trying to have fun playing yugioh?

The synchro !.. It says no. That's it. Moving on. Ah it have a scale effect, right, basically making pendulum summon akin to that "leveling up" i talked earlier, that triggers the effects of my calamities. Yes. Aside from that, not much. We all need someone who can say no in a groupe.

The xyz !.. the asshole. You know arise heart ? yeaaah you do. Well he share some ... similarities ? first of, if something is destroyed, he steals it. If it's in a scale, all monster that dont go to the ed when leaving the field are banished. Finally, his effect require 3 materials, and it's ... Cairngorgon, but better, but worse. It can redirect targetting. That's it. Also he doesnt have attack or defense. he's a bitch, i dont like him.

Finally, my baby, my sunshine, the allmighty link 2 ! with only one arrow pointing down. Cause i realized more than that was debauchery. What does he do ? what doesnt he do ! On summon, he hads aaaaaany calamity card, but more importantly, he can level up any calamity that he points to, and do so by summoning screw from the ed ! not ignoring their summoning condition tho, but he can do it in quick effect !

aaaand, that's it. For now.

The following changes have been made as per BT's request in order to reduce schizophrenia and increase coherence as an archetype of its own:

Added the following additonal effects to Jumpdrive and Gateway, respectively:
[-4]: Set 1 "The City of Belgrade" or 1 Spell card that specifically lists it in its text directly from your Deck.
[-4]:Set 1 Trap card that specifically lists "Kronologistics Tune Duelist", "Kronologistic Fault Hunter", or "The Spirit of Belgrade" in its text directly from your Deck.

Changed Dicetron Prime's condition to controlling the field spell

fixed Fault Hunter and Centaurea saying "set" and not "reduce"

fixed Paradox's PSCT

Replaced Copper Dragon's OD effect with the following:
[-8]: Target 1 Drive or Synchro monster in your GY; Special Summon it.
