Introduction:This is yet another old Archetype of mine repolished into something that may be a bit too grand. From Valerion to Golden Skies, we're looking at an Archetype of the Skydian Lore that, after Silent Stars went for Xyz and Ichyaltas went for Synchro, goes for the Fusion Mechanic!
Playstyle:Erith's band of thieves is all about getting treasure. Golden Skies Treasure Traps. In the Graveyard, to be precise. There are 3 different treasures that share a name with each other that trigger if they are sent to the Graveyard by the effect of a Golden Skies card. One of them draws, one of them pops and one of them revives. The goal is to trigger those effects as often as possible and use the treasures as fuel for the monster effects.
All Main Deck monsters have a way to Special Summon themselves from the hand and most of them shuffle Treasure from the Graveyard into the Deck to activate another effect of theirs. These effects usually just brings them closer to a full board and board clears in order to OTK, as this is an attempt of mine to create a going second deck.
As I mentioned earlier, the main ED mechanic of Golden Skies is Fusion, and it has 3 Fusions to go into, each of them sending a Treasure to the GY on Summon and having their own individual effects ranging from being able to outbattle everything with a passive ATK boost, being a mini Soul Charge and being a negate that shuffles the negated card into the deck. There's a lot that can be done with these thieves. So who is brave enough to challenge them?
