As for Shadow Nova's themselves, well, they have pretty potent hand trap effects....and usually somewhat mediocre on field effects. Still, they are somewhat useful, as long as you know what you are doing. They are all dark warriors (with the exception of yami, which is fiend type), so not only does allure of darkness support them greatly, but other cards does as well. Since they have the tendency to devour your hand to activate your effects, having cards like exit and others that return them to your hand is a necessity. There is two huge threats this Archetype can make, via it's fusions. First off, after making the link (a pretty useful card on its own), you can make the three fusions (not Yamoloxi) which actually combo off each other, and Yamoloxi is the end all be all final boss anime level threat of the archetype....the problem being that well....it's a pain to summon. All the fusions are only weak to monsters that have card removal btw. (sure, they can be removed via spell and trap, but its not a good idea, as the opponent will get a nasty shock). However, that doesn't mean they can't be bounced back or banished via other means. That, and Ultimaia can technically be destroyed by battle...but good luck doing so. Oh and btw, I got the artwork from Google, not myself.
