Mystics

Description:
Main Deck: Made up of pendulum monsters that can search each other through monster/pendulum effects that often involve the destruction of 1 or more cards on the field or in the pendulum zone. These monsters also have the capability to reset one's scales back to 3-8 (the standard for this deck) through their searching effects. The goal of this deck is to combo the destruction effects of monsters in the pendulum zones and monster zones to accumulate monsters in the extra deck and in the hand; for pendulum summoning. With the goal of the pendulum summoning being to establish LINK monsters (which all have a protection based effect that is triggered when co-linked with 2 mystics, and burn damage effects that are triggered by the SS/Removal of Mystics from co-linked zones). These LINK monsters, of which there are 3, work together to inflict burn damage while stocking/replenishing the Extra-Deck and hand with pendulum monsters. There are two Xyz support cards which utilize the level 4 and level 7 cards in the deck, acting as searchers/triggers for the LINK monsters. These Xyz monsters are not necessary for victory, but are able to establish stronger boards that can inflict damage at a quicker pace.

Additional Remarks

Advantages:

The archetype features a very fast and repetitive combo that enables the user to bring out LINK monsters, all of which work with each other to quicken the pace even further and deal a lot of burn damage. This combo is able to be abused, when done properly, but not to the point in which the turn player can easily bring out more than 1 LINK monster in a turn. Whilst this can be a drawback, it is not necessarily because the combo, if done correctly, can prevent the opponent from destroying/removing your LINK monsters. In addition to the powerful synergy, which is responsible for the speed and defensive prowess of this deck, the cards all work together to inflict burn damage very - very quickly. When played properly, this deck can destroy an opponent within 2-3 turns by pure burn damage.

A sample combo:
1. Activate Thane and Icarus from hand --> Pend zones
2. Activate Icarus eff --> search out Jason --> Establish Thane + Jason in P. Zones and Icarus in the extra deck
3. Activate Jason eff --> search out Percy ---> Thane + Percy in P. Zones and Icarus + Jason in Extra
4. Activate Icarus (add Jason to hand) --> NS Jason to field --> Activate Jason monster eff --> Search Siosire
5. Activate Percy (pop Icarus to Extra) --> Draw 1 + Place Siosire in P. Zone (Icarus, Jason, Thane in Extra)
6. Activate Siosire --> search out Thane --> Thane to P. Zone w/Percy (Icarus + Jason + Thane + Siosire in Extra)
7. SS All Pend from E. Deck to field --> LINK-2 Midas w/Jason and Thane in co-link zones (utilize destruction eff.(s))
8. End Turn with Midas protected... proceed from there

Disadvantages:

The Extra-Deck monsters do not have a lot of protection, outside of their own effects. This deck can fall prey to trap/spell/monster negation/destruction effects; as when a combo is broken, you can be left with an empty board (ex: Kaiju's can completely disrupt your board). In addition to the ease at which combos can be disrupted, the deck does not have the ability to overcome monsters with significant attack; as there are no monsters in the archetype with an attack value over 2300. The last obvious weakness is that this deck can be shut off by anti-burn effects (D/D/D Oracle King D'Arc for example). While this is not incredibly important, I felt this was worth mentioning given the teching of some meta decks; this deck can be laid to waste by Gozen match or Rivalry of Warlords.

Kingslayers

Description:
This archetype takes its style from Nekroz, functioning as a pure ritual engine. The way it works though is through the use of a few spells (not many ritual spells which allow ritual summons with different conditions). These spells work to provide easy ritual summoning (Decree of Death is an invocation type field spell that allows the user to ritual summon by the means from which invocation allows the user to fusion summon) and searches (though all of these searches have significant costs). The monsters work to establish significant control; with there being a 2 monster search engine (discard effects are a part of many monsters to prevent total stalls) and other monsters to initiate card destruction/protection. Due to the powerful effects, the monsters of the archetype do not have very high ATK/DEF values - with most of these values being easily surpassed in the current meta. (I apologize but these cards cannot be submitted as I did not create a systematic order in the number at the bottom --> i used a random generator).

This may help with understanding the deck

Spoiler: Trap Cards • show

None

Additional Remarks

Advantages:

The advantages of this deck are that given the right spell set-up --> you can have a pretty fast deck (similar to invoked) without very many limitations. In addition to this, with the proper spell set-up, this deck can be very cost-effective --> utilizing a spell engine to make "+" or positive trades to correct the board (make it stronger). The cards also synergize well with each other; working to search / protect / and enable each other for combos.

Disadvantages:

This deck has a high stall potential; not having a ritual spell or the invocation styled field spell is a certain brick as it is impossible to summon monsters. Considering that this deck doesn't have any traps either, it can not counter opponent's negation/destruction traps very well. This deck is also reliant on the card effects of its monsters, not being able to overcome many boss monsters in battle.
