Internet Chain Links!
There is a series of Chain Link cards that were rarely used, that I still loved as a kid because they had potential. I decided to finally give my ol' friends the spotlight they deserve in our custom meta! I gave them most of them cyberse-internet upgrades, so that they would have a more solid theme while retaining their different attributes and aim. I also am adding more so that they can not only be generic, but be played as a deck or engine(some decks can easily make chain links like Moon Burst's
Chain Healing and Chain Detonation are alright cards on their own, but the 500 waas very weak, so that is why people didn't use it that often(even if it recurred itself). To boost this, I gave them a card that could be summoned to quicken the burn, while also using burn itself to be used in chain burn. This still will not give it competitive play, but it should be a little bit more viable now, especially given you can search both of the cards with a banish!
Man Beast of Ares never seen play after the olden days, thus it needed to be completely powercrept. In order to do this, I let the ATK buff all monsters you control and it actually can potentially give itself the buff. In a pure chain link deck, this card will definitely see play as it not only creates a chain link 3 itself under the right circumstance, but it also gives knowledge and permanent boosts.
Strengths: The generic playability of Ares should definitely see play as an optional generic in competitive play. The channeler will at least see play for its GY eff since it is a plus 1.
Weaknesses Despite the above, both do not give any card advantage that is meaningful on their own. There are plenty of plus 1 cards that are much easier to pull off in the game(Ie: Thunder Dragon, The Reset of the power portraits, and more like espergear armor break & more)
I will be making the art myself for it eventually. Any questions? Ask me!
