Title: Archetype Submission - Crystal Gems

Description:
The Crystal Gems, or more accurately "Gem "s (with a space to exclude Gem-Knights) are Fusion based Archetype based on the Animated show "Steven Universe". The archetype focuses on swarming and searching, before fusing into versatile fusion monsters. There's also a heavy focus on using the deck's starter card "Universe Quartz" to convince your opponent's monsters to join your side, so you can get easier access to the powerful "Garnet" fusions.

Advantages
The "Gem " Archetype is a fast swarming archetype with many searching options, allowing the player to fill the field with fusions with a lot of utility depending on the situation. It's flexible with many different play styles such as the Going-Second "Tourmaline" Turbo build, the Going-First Connie Isolde Build that can take take advantage of "Experience Stevonnie", and the more gimmicky "Gem Abomination" show down build. The archetype has many options with simple but powerful cards.
Disadvantages
The decks needs to get to its starter card "Universe Quartz" and its Normal Summon needs to go through in order for plays to happen. If the opponent were to use "Prohibition" on "Universe Quartz", that's grounds to scoop. Not only that, beyond the control focused "Experience Stevonnie", the deck has no Spell/Trap consistent protection outside of banishing "Homeworld Gem Fusion" face-down, which is a card the player wants to recycle to use again. Not only that, any removal that avoids destruction (plentiful in this day and age) means the material recursion won't occur. Numerous effects based on giving your opponent's monster can also go sour in this Link Age.

    Once per turn: If you control another "Crystal Gem" monster: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; take control of that monster and treat it as a "Crystal Gem" monster until your End Phase. When this card is Summoned (from the hand or GY): Add 1 "Gem " card from your Deck to your hand. Cannot be targeted for an attack, while you control another "Crystal Gem" Monster. You can only activate each effect of "Universe Quartz" once per turn. This card's name is also treated as "Rose Quartz" while in the hand, on the field, or in the GY.

        Starter of the deck, searches other “Gem “ cards (note the space after Gem, excludes Gem-Knights) and is the only main deck “Quartz” monster, which all other monsters in the deck rely on. Also can take one monster, which helps summoning Fusions that require “Perfect Garnet”

            The most optimal search with Universe Quartz, searches other monsters and the fusion spells. Its normal summon effect is more lore flavor and doesn’t contribute to the deck’s overall strategy.

                What you search if you already have a “Renegade Pearl” in your hand. Serves as removal and can be used to summon a Utopia the Lightning-like fusion monster. Don’t run too many.

When using this card as a Fusion Material, you can Banish 1 monster from your GY as Fusion Material.

                    Recovery option and needed material for important strong “Quartz” Fusion. Also a great top deck, as you can summon it, grab a fusion spell, and summon a fusion with only her on the field.

When this card is Special Summoned: Your opponent can add 1 "Crystal Gem" card from their deck to their hand.  You can only Special Summon "Homeworld Gem Menacing Jasper" once per turn.

                        Another searching option, albeit with a downside. Also a good top deck, since you can banish a Gem in your grave, summon this, and search Universe Quartz to begin making plays again.

                            Part of the deck’s win condition. Disrupts your opponent’s plays and protects your own. The idea is to summon this in your main phase 2 after making all your plays.

                                Combos off Pearl and her fusions, and enables Isolde plays and a Bamboo Sword build of the deck. The idea is to normal summon Renegade Pearl and Special Summon Connie, allowing you to activate (and subsequently destroy) Gemstone Corruption. After the search off of corruption, you can then link into Isolde, dumping Bamboo swords and searching another copy of Connie. Specifically not a “Gem “.

If this card is used as material for a Fusion Summon: Add 1 "Universe Quartz" from your Deck to you hand, and, if you do, Special Summon 1 "Universe Quartz" from your hand.

                                    The card Universe Quartz imitates and the original material for all of the Quartz Fusions (barring Stevonnie). A remnant of a bygone era, Rose Quartz really shouldn’t hit the field unless one is looking for extra damage potential. Her main use is to search and summon Universe Quartz, where the real plays begin. She also works off of Brilliant Fusion, meaning one card can get Seraphinite and Universe Quartz on the field (with the added search) without using the normal summon.

                                        A searching card similar to Saqlifice that works both as a means of board breaking (can be equipped to enemy monster to negate effect or power up a fusion like Sugilite) and as a searcher. It also enables a Isolde/Bamboo Sword build of the archetype with the new Connie card.

                                            Another strong starter card for its searching ability upon activation. Also searches when you fusion summon, though it requires you to shuffle away a card. The protection is also useful.

                                                    Also searchable like Crystal Gem Fusion, but has several upsides. It serves as protection from your monsters and increases your damage output. You use this to try and win the duel before the negative effect goes off (or avoid it, with certain other cards.)

If this monster in its owner's control is destroyed by an opponent's card (by battle or card effect): You can shuffle this card into the Extra Deck; Special Summon 2 "Crystal Gem" Monsters from your GY.

                                                                                So this is where I admit, this archetype has very much inspired by Mekk Knight Invoked. This has utility only in its ability to to swipe up the win, similar to Nightmare Shark. Open to suggestions on a better effect.

You go into this first, banish itself to search, then summon another Fusion while this returns in the End Phase. The Mekk Knight inspiration shows through here, with a clear Purple Nightfall retrain.

This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls, once each. Once per turn, at the start of the Damage Step, if this card attacks an opponent's monster: You can take control of it. If this monster in its owner's control is destroyed by an opponent's card (by battle or card effect): You can shuffle this card into the Extra Deck; Special Summon 2 "Crystal Gem" Monsters from your GY.

                                                                                        The primary card you go into when your plays are unabated. Its banishing effect is monsterous to go up against and its Borreload swiping effect can tear into almost any board. It’s also protected by Lapis Lazuli on your turn, plus Homeworld Gem Fusion’s GY effect.

Unaffected by card effects. When your opponent activates a monster effect and you do not control another "Crystal Gem" monster (Quick Effect): You can negate the activation, and if you do, take control of that monster and treat it as a "Crystal Gem" monster until your next End Phase.

                                                                                              Primary card for Pearl/Connie Isolde Build, serves as a less aggressive but more control based style of play. The requirement of not controlling another Crystal Gem monster means it’s incompatible with the standard “Rainbow Quartz, Banish Self, Summon 2nd fusion, return Rainbow in the End Phase” strategy.

                                                                                              Monsters cannot activate their effects. Cannot be destroyed by battle. The effects of all other face-up monsters on the field are negated while those monsters are face-up on the field. Each face-up monster your opponent controls loses 100 ATK x its own Level/Rank.  If this monster in its owner's control is removed from the field by an opponent's card (by battle or card effect): You can shuffle this card into the Extra Deck; Special Summon 3 "Crystal Gem" Monsters from your GY.

                                                                                                  The only Garnet Fusion that can’t be summoned with an opponent’s monster, due to its powerful board negation effect. Difficult to summon normally without a lot of prior set up, it dies to any Spell/Trap removal (baring a Homeworld Gem Fusion in the GY). However, its normal summoning condition isn’t how you tend to summon this monster

                                                                                                    Cannot be used as material for a Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link Summon. Unaffected by other card effects. Cannot be destroyed by battle. If this card is Fusion Summoned: Banish all other cards on the field face-down, then, if you do, give control of this card to your opponent, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Gem Abomination" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck. During your Standby Phase after this card is Special Summoned: Banish all cards on the field.

                                                                                                        The last Gem fusion (for now) and the most intimidating, if it wasn’t for its major drawbacks. Upon summon it immediately wipes both sides of the board and gives itself to your opponent. Then, you get to summon a “Gem Abomination” monster from your Extra Deck (Usually Alexandrite). Now you and your opponent are both facing each other with massive 4K beaters… Who can’t destroy each other. It’s a stalemate, abomination vs. abomination. In the end, however, Malachite falls to her own instability, and you’re left with 3 fresh “Crystal Gem” monsters, ready to face the next threat around the corner.

Designed to turbo out Universe Quartz, steal a monster, and going straight into Tourmaline in order to clear the board and summon out Lapis Lazuli in MP2.
